The Spirit House

How our deep listening and guidance from indigenous elders inspired us to build a Spirit House on the farm might be described as divine orchestration. 

A psychic who visited, reported that children from prehistory in Vedic times came to greet her and take her to see their Mystery School. It turned out there was a women's ceremonial spiritual center and housing by the river on the southern boundary of the farm and a men's ceremonial spiritual center and housing to the north.

Walter and one of our partners, Cristian Ojeda, built the Spirit House with all-natural local materials. Not a piece of metal was used and all the work was done by hand. The Spirit House is a community gathering space that offers the fire element as a valued indigenous tradition of gathering, sharing and drumming. Spirit is held by the community as a partner to be listened to in the creative evolution of Finca Sagrada and the surrounding valleys. Our commitment is a beingness of sacred reciprocity in service of a flourishing life for all.
